Description
Cocopeat is a multi-purpose growing medium made out of coconut husk. It is a very good alternative to traditional peat moss. Its air-filled porosity and high water holding capacity make it ideal as a base for potting mixes.
Cocopeat is very absorbent, adding water retention properties to potting mixes. Do not use cocopeat by itself as a potting medium, as the water retention properties might drown off plant roots.
Cocopeat can be used in earthworm cultivation and it can also be used as a Hydroponics medium.
